Project Description

This project consisted of the demolition of the existing clubhouse and the design & construction of a new-build clubhouse on the same site.

The existing site sits significantly lower than the surrounding land which includes houses, a main road and a river. A site investigation was commissioned which showed stiff clay underlain by much weaker mixed sub-stata. This led to the main clubhouse foundations being designed as piled ground beams.

The single storey clubhouse was built with long span steel trusses supported off load-bearing masonry. The new facilities include enhanced public areas, much more storage as well as additional modern changing rooms, treatment rooms and kit areas.
